These markets evaluate how many points will be scored by both teams combined in the final quarter of a football game. The outcome depends solely on the total points scored during that specific period, excluding any overtime play.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both Tennessee and Indianapolis in the 4th Quarter of their Pro Football game scheduled for October 18, 2026, excluding any overtime periods. Each market has a different threshold: if the combined score exceeds 3.5, 6.5, 7.5, 10.5, 13.5, 14.5, 17.5, 20.5, 21.5, or 24.5 points, the respective market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Only points scored during regulation 4th Quarter play count, and Kalshi disclaims any official affiliation with the governing league.
Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, representing their profit margin. This market, driven by the wisdom of the crowd on Kalshi, aims to reflect the true probability of an event occurring, without an inherent profit margin for a house. While sportsbook odds might initially appear different, they often converge as more information becomes available and public sentiment shifts, though discrepancies can persist due to differing market participants and information access.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, where traders buy and sell contracts representing their beliefs about the outcome. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. Traders are incentivized to provide accurate predictions, as they profit if their predictions are correct. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movement is a direct result of traders adjusting their positions based on new information, analysis, and overall market sentiment regarding the potential 4th quarter point total.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final 4th quarter point total is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official scoring data from the game between Tennessee and Indianapolis. The market will determine whether the total points scored in the 4th quarter exceed or fall below the threshold defined by the contracts available on Kalshi. All trading will cease once the official result is known and the outcome is finalized.
Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Injury reports for key offensive players on either team would likely have a significant impact, as would any changes to the weather forecast. Late-breaking news regarding coaching strategies or significant shifts in team performance could also move the market. Furthermore, public perception and analysis from sports commentators can influence trader sentiment on Kalshi, leading to price fluctuations. Unexpected in-game events during the first three quarters could also cause traders to reassess their predictions.
