These markets focus on whether Tony Pollard will achieve specific rushing yard thresholds during the Tennessee vs Cincinnati football game. Each threshold represents a progressively higher yardage goal that Pollard must reach for the market to resolve positively.
All contracts are designated as protected, meaning if Tony Pollard participates in at least one play during the first half but does not participate in any play after the conclusion of the first half—including overtime—the contract resolves to the fair price prior to the game's kickoff unless he meets or exceeds the specified rushing yard threshold. If Pollard participates in any play after the first half, the contract settles based on actual statistics, irrespective of his first-half involvement. Participation in a play nullified by penalty does not count, and a player who never participates remains subject to the fair price non-participation rule. The protected designation applies only to full-game contracts with an above or at-least payout criterion, and this event uses full-game rushing yards including overtime. The markets resolve to Yes only if Pollard records the exact threshold or more rushing yards in the specified game.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines which are set by oddsmakers. Sportsbooks may incorporate biases or seek to capitalize on public perception, while this market aggregates the views of many independent traders. Over time, prediction market prices tend to be more accurate forecasts of the actual outcome than traditional betting odds, though discrepancies can exist, especially early in the market's life. It’s common to see this market adjust rapidly as new information becomes available.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing different rushing yard totals for the game. The price of each contract reflects the market's current expectation of whether the actual rushing yards will fall above or below that total. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the prices converge towards a fair value, representing the collective forecast. The market depth, visible on the dashboard, shows the available buy and sell orders at various price points, indicating potential support and resistance levels.
This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final, official rushing yard statistics for the Tennessee vs Cincinnati game are verifiable from credible public reporting. The official game statistics, as reported by a recognized sports data provider, will determine whether the actual total rushing yards exceed or fall below the various contract levels offered in this market. Traders holding contracts on the correct side of the outcome will receive a payout based on the contract's price at resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Injury reports for key running backs on either team would be significant, as would any changes in weather forecasts predicting rain or snow, which could affect the running game. News regarding coaching strategies or offensive line changes could also impact expectations. Furthermore, any late-breaking information about player availability or team tactics could cause substantial price movements as traders adjust their positions based on the latest developments. Public sentiment and expert analysis can also play a role.
