This event tracks passing yard milestones for both quarterbacks in an upcoming college football game, resolving based on whether each player meets specific yardage thresholds during the full match, including any overtime periods.
All markets resolve based on the total passing yards accumulated by the respective quarterback (Joe Burrow or Cam Ward) in the full game, including overtime. Each contract is designated as 'protected,' meaning if a player participates in at least one play during the first half but none after halftime (including overtime), the contract resolves to the fair price set before kickoff unless the player meets the specified yardage threshold, in which case it settles based on actual performance. If the player participates in any play after halftime, the contract always settles based on actual statistics, irrespective of first-half involvement. Participation in a play nullified by penalty does not count, and players who never participate are subject to the fair price non-participation rule. The protected designation applies exclusively to full-game contracts with 'at least' or 'above' payout criteria.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines which can be influenced by factors like public perception or early betting action. Sportsbooks may also incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market aims to represent the true probability of an event occurring. As more information emerges – such as injury reports or weather forecasts – this market can adjust more rapidly than traditional sportsbooks, potentially offering more accurate probabilities as the event approaches. It’s a good practice to compare both to inform your decision-making.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final passing yard totals from the Tennessee vs Cincinnati game are verifiable from credible public reporting. The official statistics released by the NCAA will serve as the basis for determining the winning contract. The total passing yards for both teams combined will be compared against the various ranges offered in this market to identify the outcome that corresponds to the actual game result. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final verified statistics.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding the starting quarterbacks for either team – injuries, illness, or even a change in coaching strategy – would be a major catalyst. Weather conditions, particularly strong winds or heavy rain, could also influence passing yard totals. Unexpected lineup changes at wide receiver or along the offensive line could also shift expectations. Finally, any significant pre-game analysis from respected college football analysts that challenges the prevailing market sentiment could lead to price adjustments in this market.
