Often, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on their own models and risk assessment, while this market is driven by the collective predictions of traders. If a significant number of traders believe a particular outcome is more likely than sportsbooks suggest, the odds on Polymarket will shift accordingly. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially in events where public opinion strongly diverges from expert analysis, or where there is asymmetric information available to traders.
