Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on the wisdom of the crowd. If a significant discrepancy exists between the implied probability from this market and sportsbook odds, it could indicate that traders believe the sportsbook is mispricing the event. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform sportsbooks, especially when there's a lot of public information available and a diverse range of opinions are represented within the trading volume.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price adjusts to reflect the evolving consensus. This creates a dynamic pricing system that aims to accurately forecast the result of the Tebenko vs. Potapov match based on collective intelligence.

This market resolves around Nov 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
