Opinion
In the upcoming VCT best-of-series match scheduled for 2026-10-08 11:30 UTC: if Nongshim RedForce wins the series, the market will resolve to "Nongshim RedForce"; if Team Vitality wins the series, the market will resolve to "Team Vitality". The series winner is the first team to win a majority of games. Individual games remade due to technical issues do not count as wins toward the series. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. In cases where a team's listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50. Resolution Source: official VCT broadcast and https://valorantesports.com/; community coverage on vlr.gg may be used as a supplementary source. Note: Opinion will resolve strictly based on the first officially published result from the designated source. Any subsequent revisions will not affect this resolution.

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, representing their profit margin, while this market allows participants to directly assess the probability of an outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information sources, levels of expertise among participants, and the influence of public opinion. If there's a significant difference, it may suggest that the crowd believes there's value in one outcome over another, relative to what sportsbooks are implying.
This market resolves around Oct 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Team Vitality versus Nongshim RedForce League of Legends match. The winning team, as declared by the official tournament organizers, will determine the settlement of this market. Any disputes or ambiguities will be resolved using publicly available information from the tournament’s official sources.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before the match concludes. News regarding player form, potential roster changes for either Team Vitality or Nongshim RedForce, or updates on team strategies could all shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about the match schedule or venue could also have an impact. Furthermore, any significant performance by either team in preceding matches or tournaments could lead to adjustments in the perceived probabilities, driving volume and price fluctuations in this market.
