This market assesses whether specific tight ends will rank among the highest scorers in fantasy football for a given week, using a points-per-reception scoring system that rewards receptions, yards gained, and touchdowns across all offensive roles.
Each market resolves to 'Yes' if the named player finishes within the top five in total full-PPR fantasy points among all eligible tight ends for Week 8 of the 2026 NFL regular season, as calculated by Sleeper’s scoring system. Points include receptions, receiving and rushing yards, touchdowns, and special teams contributions. Players not participating that week score zero. Ties at the qualifying position result in proportional settlement (e.g., a two-way tie splits the payout equally). All rankings and point totals are determined solely by Sleeper’s official data at market expiration.
Comparing prediction market odds to sportsbook odds can reveal interesting insights into public perception versus informed trading. Sportsbooks set lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, but also incorporate a 'vig' or commission. This market allows traders to express their own views, potentially identifying discrepancies where they believe the sportsbook odds are mispriced. Often, prediction markets aggregate the wisdom of the crowd, leading to probabilities that are more accurate than initial sportsbook offerings, though this isn't always the case. It's important to consider that both represent different forms of forecasting.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing different tight ends finishing in the Top 5, and the price of each contract reflects the market's current expectation of that outcome. As more traders buy a contract, its price increases, indicating a higher probability. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market depth and order book are visible on the platform, providing transparency into supply and demand. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows for efficient price discovery based on the collective intelligence of the traders participating in the TE Fantasy Football market.
This market resolves around Nov 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official fantasy point totals for tight ends in Week 8 of the NFL season, as calculated by a major fantasy football provider. The top 5 tight ends based on these official scores will determine the winning contracts. The platform will verify the results against these sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders will then be paid out based on their positions in the market.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market. Injury reports are a major catalyst; if a top-performing tight end is ruled out or limited, their contract price will likely decrease, while others may see an increase. Unexpected changes in quarterback performance or offensive schemes can also impact a tight end's projected fantasy points. Late-breaking news regarding matchups or weather conditions could also influence trading activity. Finally, general shifts in public perception, driven by expert analysis or social media, can create momentum and affect the prices within this market.
