This market assesses whether specific tight ends will rank among the top performers in fantasy football points during a designated week. It uses a standardized scoring system to calculate player performance, focusing exclusively on individual player output without reference to team success or broader league standings.
Each market resolves to Yes if the named player finishes within the top five in total full-PPR fantasy points among all eligible tight ends for Week 5 of the 2026 NFL regular season, using Sleeper’s scoring system. Players who do not participate that week are scored zero. Ties at the qualifying position result in proportional settlement (e.g., if two players tie for the fifth spot, each receives half the payout). The scoring system awards points for passing, rushing, receiving, kicking, defensive, and special teams statistics as defined by Sleeper’s default full-PPR format, with specific point values for yards, touchdowns, interceptions, field goals, and defensive achievements. All rankings include players without listed markets, and player eligibility is determined by Sleeper at the time of market expiration.
Comparing prediction market odds to sportsbook odds reveals how the wisdom of the crowd differs from the assessments of professional oddsmakers. Often, this market reflects a more dynamic and real-time assessment of probabilities as new information emerges, while sportsbook odds tend to be more static. Discrepancies can arise from differing information sources, biases, or simply the collective insight of prediction market participants. If there's a significant difference, it might indicate an opportunity for arbitrage, where traders can profit by exploiting the price difference between the two.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of each tight end finishing in the top 5. As more people buy a contract, its price increases, reflecting a higher perceived probability. Conversely, selling contracts drives the price down. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each contract represents the cost to own one unit of exposure to that outcome, and the market aggregates these individual trades to determine the implied probability of each tight end's performance. The market is driven entirely by supply and demand from traders.
This market resolves around Oct 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final fantasy point totals for each tight end in Week 5 will be used to determine which players finished in the top 5. These totals will be sourced from a major fantasy football provider and will be publicly available. The market will then settle to 100 for the winning outcome(s) and 0 for all others, based on the official results. Traders will be paid out according to their positions in the market at the time of resolution.
Several signals could significantly impact this market before resolution. Injury reports are a major factor; if a key tight end is ruled out, their price will likely decrease, while others may see an increase. Unexpected changes in team offensive schemes or quarterback performance could also shift expectations. News regarding matchups – for example, a tight end facing a defense known to struggle against the position – could also influence trading activity. Finally, general sentiment and analysis from fantasy football experts and analysts can sway the market as people adjust their predictions.
