These markets track the total points scored by both teams in the second half of a college football game, including any overtime periods. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to resolve as 'Yes'.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the second half (including overtime) of the TCU vs Baylor college football game scheduled for October 17, 2026. For each market, if the combined second-half points exceed the specified threshold, the market resolves to 'Yes'; otherwise, it resolves to 'No'. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the result is based on the final score when played. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. All markets are independent, each with its own point threshold, ranging from over 2.5 points to over 41.5 points.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of informed traders, and can sometimes differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while this market allows participants to directly express their beliefs about the probability of different outcomes. If a significant discrepancy emerges between this market and sportsbook lines, it may indicate that prediction market traders possess information or insights not fully incorporated into the sportsbook's assessment. It’s a useful comparison point for those analyzing the game.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts. The price of a contract represents the probability of that outcome occurring, scaled to a value between 0 and 100. As more people buy contracts predicting a specific outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current top outcome, Over 23.5 2H points scored, reflects the collective assessment of traders on Kalshi regarding the likely total points scored in the second half.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final total points scored in the second half of the TCU versus Baylor game will be used to determine whether the 'Over' or 'Under' contract pays out. The official game statistics, as reported by a trusted sports data source, will serve as the basis for verifying the result. Traders will be able to see the final outcome reflected in their account balances shortly after the game concludes.
Several factors could influence the price of contracts in this market. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries for either TCU or Baylor would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact scoring, could also affect trading activity. Furthermore, any shifts in public perception or expert analysis regarding the teams' offensive capabilities could drive changes in the market. Even the opening kickoff and early scoring plays in the first half could lead to adjustments in the price as traders react to the unfolding game.
