Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and need to account for profit margins, while this market is driven purely by traders' beliefs about the likely outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by betting on both platforms. It's common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than sportsbooks, especially regarding team performance or player injuries.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of a particular outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the event's likelihood. The current price reflects the aggregated sentiment of all participants, making it a dynamic indicator of expectations for the Liiga championship.
This market resolves around Oct 14, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The winning team, as declared by the league, will determine the winning outcome in this market. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the resolution is finalized and confirmed on Polymarket.
