Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish initial lines based on their own analysis, aiming to balance action on both sides, while this market's odds are driven by traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the result. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook has mispriced an outcome, they can take a position in this market, driving the odds closer to their collective assessment. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before a lot of money flows into either venue.

On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous auction, where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust accordingly, providing a dynamic assessment of the potential winner of the 2nd half. The current volume indicates the level of interest and conviction surrounding each team.

This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The team leading at the end of the second half of the game will be declared the winner for the purposes of this market. The official game results, as reported by a trusted sports data source, will be used to determine the final outcome. Trading will cease once the result is known and verified, and payouts will be distributed accordingly.

Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either the Buccaneers or the Panthers would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they favor one team’s style of play, could also impact the odds. Furthermore, in-game performance during the first half, such as a dominant offensive showing or a key turnover, could shift trader sentiment and lead to adjustments in the price of contracts. Public perception and expert analysis can also play a role.
