Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, often proving more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds, particularly as an event approaches. Sportsbooks incorporate a profit margin into their odds, while this market allows traders to directly assess probabilities. However, initial odds on Polymarket may differ from those found at sportsbooks due to varying levels of information and differing participant expertise. It’s common to see convergence as the event draws nearer and more information becomes available, but discrepancies can persist based on market-specific factors and trader sentiment.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price fluctuates based on supply and demand, driven by traders’ reactions to news, analysis, and their own independent assessments. Higher demand for shares in a specific outcome will drive up its price, indicating increased confidence in that result, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing reflects the collective intelligence of the traders participating in this market.

The resolution will be based on the official result of the Kasidit Samrej versus Omar Jasika match, as reported by the governing body of the competition.
