Description

This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Maldives and Saudi Arabia scheduled for October 14 2026 at 2:00 AM ET in T20 World Cup Asia Sub-Regional Qualifier B. The outcome corresponding to Maldives will be considered correct if Maldives is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Saudi Arabia will be considered correct if Saudi Arabia is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring a profit margin. This market, however, is driven purely by the collective wisdom of traders, who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on statistical models and expert opinions, this market can quickly adjust to incorporate new information or shifts in sentiment. Discrepancies can arise due to differing levels of information access and analytical approaches.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of a particular outcome. As more shares are purchased for a specific outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly corresponds to the perceived likelihood of that outcome occurring. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the aggregated beliefs of all participants, creating a real-time forecast for the toss result in the Maldives vs Saudi Arabia match.

This market resolves around Oct 21, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the officially announced toss winner for the Maldives vs Saudi Arabia match. The platform will verify the result against reliable sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders who correctly predicted the toss winner will be entitled to a payout based on the final share price at the time of resolution. It's important to monitor the event closely as the resolution date approaches.

Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding team conditions, potential changes in playing lineups, or weather forecasts impacting the match could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements related to player availability or strategic decisions could also lead to price fluctuations. Furthermore, general shifts in public opinion or the release of expert analyses could impact the perceived probabilities. Monitoring these signals will be crucial for understanding potential movements in this market before it resolves.
