This market refers to the cricket match between Malaysia and Hong Kong scheduled for October 8 2026 at 2:00 AM ET in T20 World Cup Asia Sub-Regional Qualifier B. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Often, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market represents the aggregate beliefs of informed traders. If a significant amount of money flows toward a particular outcome, the odds will adjust accordingly, potentially signaling disagreement with initial sportsbook assessments. It’s common to see prediction markets more accurately forecast probabilities as event time approaches, particularly when traders have access to specialized knowledge.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous, decentralized exchange where traders can buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a specific outcome, its price increases, and the price of other outcomes decreases. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price reflects the collective intelligence of participants, and the platform facilitates this price discovery through open trading.
This market resolves around Oct 15, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the T20 World Cup Asia Sub-Regional Qualifier B match between Malaysia and Hong Kong. The platform will determine the winning outcome based on publicly available information from recognized sports authorities and reporting agencies. The final result will be used to determine which shares pay out at 1 USDC each.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding team lineups, player injuries, or changes in weather conditions could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected results in other qualifying matches could also impact perceptions of each team’s chances. Furthermore, significant betting activity or analysis from cricket experts could draw attention to this market and cause price fluctuations. Monitoring these signals will be key to understanding how the market evolves leading up to the match.
