This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Hong Kong and Maldives scheduled for October 11 2026 at 9:15 PM ET in T20 World Cup Asia Sub-Regional Qualifier B. The outcome corresponding to Hong Kong will be considered correct if Hong Kong is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Maldives will be considered correct if Maldives is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where users buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher probability. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price. This creates a dynamic and real-time assessment of the likelihood of each team winning the toss, driven entirely by trader activity.
This market resolves around Oct 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result will be based on the official toss result declared by the tournament organizers. The platform will verify the outcome against publicly available sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders who correctly predicted the winning team of the toss will receive a payout based on the final market price of their shares at the time of resolution.
Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding team conditions, potential changes to the playing conditions, or even weather forecasts could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about player availability or strategic changes could also lead to price movements. Furthermore, large trading volume from informed participants could signal a change in expectations. Ultimately, any information that alters the perceived probability of either team winning the toss has the potential to move this market significantly.
