Description

This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Qatar and Thailand scheduled for October 5 2026 at 9:15 PM ET in T20 World Cup Asia Sub-Regional Qualifier A. The outcome corresponding to Qatar will be considered correct if Qatar is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Thailand will be considered correct if Thailand is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Frequently asked questions

Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a more accurate aggregate forecast than traditional sportsbook odds, as they incorporate the wisdom of the crowd. Sportsbooks may set initial lines based on expert analysis, but this market allows anyone to participate and express their view. If there’s a significant difference between the implied probability on Polymarket and sportsbook offerings, it could suggest the market believes the sportsbook has mispriced the event. However, it's important to remember that both represent probabilities, and discrepancies can arise due to differing information or risk assessments.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome of the toss. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective wisdom of the crowd. Higher demand for shares in a particular outcome will drive up its price, indicating a greater perceived likelihood of that outcome occurring. This dynamic pricing ensures the market remains responsive to new information and changing sentiment.

This market resolves around Oct 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the officially recorded result of the toss in the T20 World Cup Asia Sub-Regional Qualifier A match between Qatar and Thailand. The platform will verify the result against trusted sources to ensure accuracy. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be paid out according to the final market price at the time of resolution, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will forfeit their stake.

Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding team form, potential playing conditions, or even weather forecasts could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about player availability or changes to the toss procedure could also have an impact. Furthermore, large trading volume from informed participants could signal new information or a change in perceived probabilities. Monitoring these signals and observing how the market reacts will be key to understanding potential price movements before this market resolves.
