Description

This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Qatar and Mongolia scheduled for October 12 2026 at 2:00 AM ET in T20 World Cup Asia Sub-Regional Qualifier A. The outcome corresponding to Qatar will be considered correct if Qatar is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Mongolia will be considered correct if Mongolia is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe one outcome is more likely than sportsbooks suggest, the odds on Polymarket will shift accordingly, potentially offering a more accurate forecast of the toss result.

This market resolves around Oct 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result of the coin toss – heads or tails – will be determined by the official outcome announced by the tournament organizers. The platform will then verify this information against trusted sources to finalize the market and distribute payouts to winning traders. It's important to note that the resolution is based on the actual toss result, not pre-match predictions or expectations.

Any news or information that could influence perceptions of fairness or bias in the toss could move this market. For example, reports about the condition of the coin being used, or any perceived advantage one team might have in calling heads or tails, could impact trading activity. Unexpected weather conditions that might affect the toss itself are also potential catalysts. Ultimately, any shift in trader sentiment based on new information will be reflected in the price of shares on Polymarket.
