This market refers to the cricket match between Myanmar and Qatar scheduled for October 8 2026 at 9:15 PM ET in T20 World Cup Asia Sub-Regional Qualifier A. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds often offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the same data. It's common to see prediction markets incorporate information more quickly than sportsbooks, especially in response to breaking news or late-developing insights about team form. Examining both can provide a more comprehensive view.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of a particular result. As more traders buy shares in a specific outcome, its price increases, and the implied probability rises accordingly. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is driven entirely by supply and demand, meaning it’s a direct expression of what traders believe will happen in the Myanmar vs Qatar match, rather than a calculation based on pre-defined odds.
This market resolves around Oct 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Myanmar vs Qatar match as reported by the governing body for the T20 World Cup Asia Sub-Regional Qualifier A. The winning team, as declared by the official tournament organizers, will determine the settlement of this market. Traders who correctly predicted the outcome will be paid out according to the final market odds at the time of resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before it resolves. Any news regarding player injuries or changes to team lineups for either Myanmar or Qatar would likely cause significant movement. Unexpected weather conditions at the match venue could also impact the odds, as could any late-breaking information about team morale or strategic adjustments. Public sentiment, as reflected in polls or expert analysis, might also play a role, although the market is primarily driven by trading activity on Polymarket itself. Major upsets in other matches within the qualifier could also shift perceptions.
