This market refers to the cricket match between Kuwait and Thailand scheduled for October 7 2026 at 9:15 PM ET in T20 World Cup Asia Sub-Regional Qualifier A. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows traders to express their own independent assessments. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a sportsbook’s odds are inaccurate, this market may move in a direction that diverges from those initial lines. It’s common to see this market converge towards what many consider the ‘true’ probability as more information becomes available and trading volume increases.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and express their views, the price adjusts to reflect the collective wisdom of the crowd. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand for shares, and there are no external factors influencing the pricing mechanism on this venue.
This market resolves around Oct 15, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Kuwait vs Thailand cricket match, as declared by the governing body of the tournament. The winning team, as officially recorded, will determine the outcome of this market. Traders will be able to claim their winnings based on the final, verified result, ensuring a transparent and accurate settlement process.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding team lineups, player injuries, or changes in weather conditions could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected results in other matches within the qualifying tournament might also impact perceptions of team strength. Furthermore, any publicly available analysis from cricket experts or commentators could sway opinions and drive trading volume. Significant shifts in betting patterns on traditional sportsbooks could also be reflected in this market as traders react to new information.
