The market will resolve according to which team's player records the highest individual run total regardless of if the match is not competed (e.g. Due to weather conditions). DLS/DRS adjustments and any other on-field rulings affecting batting statistics are treated as ordinary data. If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without official batting statistics being recorded, the market will resolve Draw. If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and official statistics are available.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market evolves as individuals place bets based on their own research and insights. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, especially before significant events or when new information emerges. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd believes there’s value or where sportsbooks may be over/underestimating a particular outcome.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more people buy shares in a particular team, the price increases, and the implied probability rises. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price and reduces the probability. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date collective assessment of the potential winner.

This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The team with the highest individual score in the match will be declared the winner, and that result will be used to determine the settlement of shares on Polymarket. The resolution will be based on official match statistics, ensuring a transparent and objective determination of the top-performing team. Traders should monitor official sources for the final results to understand when the market will be settled.

Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team lineups, or weather conditions impacting the match could significantly alter perceptions of each team’s chances. Unexpected announcements about player form or strategic changes could also drive movement. Furthermore, large-volume trades from informed participants could signal shifts in sentiment, causing the market to react accordingly. Monitoring these signals will be crucial for understanding potential price fluctuations before Oct 18, 2026.
