Description

This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Bahrain and Kuwait scheduled for October 8 2026 at 9:15 PM ET in T20 World Cup Asia Sub-Regional Qualifier A. The outcome corresponding to Bahrain will be considered correct if Bahrain is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Kuwait will be considered correct if Kuwait is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on expert analysis and incorporate a margin for profit, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their own information and beliefs. If there's a significant discrepancy, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on both platforms. However, it's important to remember that prediction market prices are dynamic and can change rapidly based on new information and trading activity.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust accordingly, creating a dynamic and efficient price discovery process. The current trading volume and order book depth influence how quickly prices respond to new information.

This market resolves around Oct 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result of the toss – which team wins the toss – will be used to determine the winning share in this market. The resolution will be based on the official announcement made by the tournament organizers, ensuring a clear and objective determination of the outcome. Traders should monitor official sources for the final result and confirmation of resolution.

Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding team form, player availability, or weather conditions could shift expectations. Unexpected announcements related to the toss procedure itself might also cause movement. Furthermore, large trades by influential market participants could create short-term price fluctuations. As the event approaches, increased attention and trading volume are likely, potentially leading to more significant price swings in this market.
