These markets focus on the point differential in the final quarter of a college football game, allowing participants to speculate on how strongly either team might perform in the last period of play.
All markets resolve based solely on points scored during the 4th quarter (excluding overtime) of the Syracuse vs UConn college football game scheduled for Oct 3, 2026. Each market has a specific point threshold: if Syracuse wins by exceeding the designated margin (ranging from 1.5 to 10.5 points), or if UConn wins by exceeding their designated margin (ranging from 2.5 to 10.5 points), the respective market resolves to Yes. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, markets resolve to a fair price. All markets exclude overtime points and only consider the 4th quarter scoring.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market is driven by individuals trading on their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe the sportsbook’s line is inaccurate, the price here will move accordingly. It’s common to see discrepancies, particularly as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts. Comparing these odds can provide a broader perspective on the likely outcome of the game.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their predictions about the Syracuse vs UConn spread. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring. Buyers are expressing belief that the spread will fall within that range, while sellers believe it won’t. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price fluctuates based on supply and demand; increased buying pressure drives the price up, indicating a higher perceived probability, and vice-versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to aggregate information efficiently.
This market resolves around Oct 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final point spread in the fourth quarter of the Syracuse vs UConn game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result published by the relevant sports authority. Traders who correctly predicted the spread will receive a payout based on the contract price at resolution, while those who predicted incorrectly will forfeit their stake. The final score will determine which contracts pay out.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Syracuse or UConn teams would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they impact the style of play, could also affect the spread. Unexpected announcements about coaching strategies or team morale could also play a role. Even public sentiment, as reflected in social media and expert analysis, can contribute to shifts in the market price as traders react to new information.
