In the upcoming Australia A-League game between Sydney FC and Adelaide United FC, scheduled for October 25, 2026 at 12:00 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Sydney FC vs. Adelaide United FC match originally scheduled for October 25, 2026 at 12:00 AM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction markets like Polymarket often reflect information and insights different from those priced into traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. Therefore, discrepancies can arise based on differing analyses, public perception, and the level of information available to each group. It’s common to see prediction market probabilities diverge from sportsbook implied probabilities, especially as new information emerges closer to the event.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact score outcomes. The price of each share reflects the market’s current assessment of the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust dynamically, providing a real-time indication of collective belief. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s efficiency depends on the number of participants and the quality of information they bring to bear on their trading decisions.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official score of the Sydney FC vs. Adelaide United FC match will be used to determine the winning outcome. The resolution will be based on the score reported by official league sources and will be considered final once it is widely available and confirmed. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the outcome of the match.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift probabilities in this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either Sydney FC or Adelaide United FC would likely have a significant impact. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments, or even weather conditions leading up to the match could also cause traders to reassess their predictions. Unexpected announcements about player availability or changes in coaching staff could also move the market. Ultimately, any information that alters perceptions of the teams’ relative strengths will likely be reflected in the trading activity.
