Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Limitless, often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of bettors, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to profit from margins, whereas prediction markets allow traders to directly express their beliefs. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when there’s strong public sentiment or information asymmetry. Comparing the odds on this market to those offered by sportsbooks can reveal where the crowd differs from professional oddsmakers in their assessment of the Bertola vs Shapovalov match.
Polymarket and Limitless can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Prices on Polymarket and Limitless may differ due to variations in user base, trading activity, and market design. Polymarket might attract a different type of trader than Limitless, leading to differing opinions reflected in the prices. Furthermore, the liquidity and volume on each platform can influence price discovery. If one platform has significantly higher volume, its price is likely to be more efficient and potentially diverge from the other. These factors contribute to the dynamic pricing observed across different prediction markets for the Bertola vs Shapovalov match.
