Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance betting action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows traders to directly express their beliefs about the probability of each outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by betting on both the prediction market and a sportsbook. However, it’s important to note that sportsbook odds are influenced by factors beyond pure probability, such as public perception and promotional offers.

This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the result of the second half of the Swansea City AFC vs. Norwich City FC match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be determined by the official result declared by the governing football authorities. The market will then be settled based on which outcome—a Swansea win, a Norwich win, or a draw—actually occurred during the second half of the game. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome will receive a payout.

Several factors could influence the price movement of this market. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in player lineups, or tactical adjustments announced before or during the match could significantly shift trader sentiment. Unexpected events during the first half, such as red cards or early goals, would also likely cause substantial price fluctuations. Furthermore, broader football news, expert analysis, and even social media trends can contribute to changes in the perceived probabilities, impacting the volume and prices within this market.
