Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows a broader range of participants to express their beliefs. These differences can arise due to varying levels of information, biases, or simply differing opinions on the likely outcome. It’s common to see this market odds move independently of sportsbook lines as new information becomes available or public sentiment shifts.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand. When more people buy contracts predicting a particular outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to reflect the collective probability assigned to each outcome by the traders on the platform, providing a real-time assessment of expectations for the Werder Bremen vs. Hoffenheim second half.
