Opinion
This market refers to the Bundesliga match between SV Elversberg (ELV) and FC Augsburg (AUG), scheduled for 2026-10-17 13:30 UTC. - ELV: If SV Elversberg wins, the outcome is settled as "Yes"; otherwise "No". - DRAW: If the match ends in a draw, the outcome is "Yes". - AUG: If FC Augsburg wins, the outcome is "Yes"; otherwise "No". Settlement will be based on the result at the end of regular time (90 minutes) plus stoppage time. If the match is postponed, this market will remain open until the match is played and completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, the DRAW option will resolve to "Yes", while both ELV and AUG options will resolve to "No". The primary settlement source will be the official result published by Bundesliga. If the governing body or event organizers have not published the final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus from credible sources may be used instead. Note: Opinion will resolve strictly based on the first officially published result from the designated source. Any subsequent revisions will not affect this resolution. Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, driven by the collective wisdom of traders on Opinion, aims to reflect the true probability of each outcome. While sportsbooks may adjust odds based on public betting patterns, this market represents a more direct assessment of likelihood. Discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions, information access, and risk tolerance between prediction market participants and sportsbook operators.
On Opinion, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the market’s assessment of the probability of that outcome occurring. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust dynamically, providing a real-time indication of expectations. The current implied probability of FC Augsburg winning, as reflected in the market price, is influenced by the volume of trades and the bids/asks placed by participants.
This market resolves around Oct 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Elversberg vs Augsburg match, as reported by a recognized sports data provider. The market will determine which outcome – a win for Elversberg, a win for Augsburg, or a draw – actually occurred during the game. Traders will then be paid out based on whether their chosen outcome matches the verified result.
Several factors could influence this market before the match takes place. Any news regarding player injuries, team lineups, or changes in coaching staff could significantly shift expectations. Unexpected weather conditions at the match venue could also play a role, potentially favoring one team over the other. Furthermore, any significant shifts in public sentiment or expert analysis regarding the teams’ performance could impact trading activity and move the market. Strong performance in prior matches for either team, or even tactical adjustments announced before kickoff, could also lead to changes in the odds.
