Frequently asked questions

Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and incorporate a profit margin, while this market is driven by traders directly expressing their beliefs. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts. While a direct comparison requires examining current sportsbook offerings, prediction markets can sometimes offer more accurate probabilities, as they are less susceptible to biases inherent in traditional oddsmaking. Examining these differences can provide valuable insights for informed decision-making.
