Opinion
This market refers to the Premier League match between Sunderland (SUN) and Leeds (LEE), scheduled for 2026-10-25 16:30 UTC. - SUN: If Sunderland wins, the outcome is settled as "Yes"; otherwise "No". - DRAW: If the match ends in a draw, the outcome is "Yes". - LEE: If Leeds wins, the outcome is "Yes"; otherwise "No". Settlement will be based on the result at the end of regular time (90 minutes) plus stoppage time. If the match is postponed, this market will remain open until the match is played and completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, the DRAW option will resolve to "Yes", while both SUN and LEE options will resolve to "No". The primary settlement source will be the official result published by Premier League. If the governing body or event organizers have not published the final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus from credible sources may be used instead. Note: Opinion will resolve strictly based on the first officially published result from the designated source. Any subsequent revisions will not affect this resolution. Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a ‘vig’ or commission into their odds, reflecting their profit margin, and may be influenced by public betting patterns. This market, driven by informed traders, can sometimes provide more accurate probabilities, as participants are incentivized to assess the true likelihood of an event. However, discrepancies can arise due to differing information sources, risk assessments, and the inherent biases of each group. It's valuable to compare both to form a well-rounded view.
On Opinion, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the collective belief of the traders regarding the probability of that outcome occurring. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust accordingly, creating a dynamic and responsive market. The platform doesn’t rely on external factors to set prices; instead, it’s purely driven by supply and demand among participants.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Sunderland vs Leeds match, as reported by a recognized sports data provider. The platform will then determine the winning outcome and process any outstanding contracts. Traders who correctly predicted the result will receive a payout based on the final odds at the time of resolution, while those who predicted incorrectly will forfeit their stake.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before Oct 25, 2026. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Sunderland or Leeds would likely cause price fluctuations. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments announced by the managers, or even unexpected weather conditions could also shift trader sentiment. Major news stories affecting team morale or public perception, such as controversies or positive press coverage, could also play a role. Monitoring these signals will be crucial for anyone looking to trade in this market.
