Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set initial lines to balance their risk, while this market allows traders to freely adjust probabilities based on their own analysis and information. If a significant amount of money is wagered on one outcome, the odds will shift accordingly, potentially providing a different perspective than initial sportsbook offerings. It's common to see discrepancies, especially as new information becomes available leading up to the event.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy and sell contracts representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a contract reflects the current probability assigned to Sunderland winning by two or more goals. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are incentivized to provide accurate predictions, as successful predictions result in a payout. The more traders who believe an outcome is likely, the higher the price of the corresponding contract will rise, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to converge towards a true probability assessment.

This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the final score of the Sunderland versus Coventry match will be used to determine if Sunderland won by two or more goals. The resolution will be based on the official match result as reported by a reputable sports news source. Traders will be paid out based on whether their prediction aligned with the verified result at the time of resolution.

Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Sunderland or Coventry would likely cause significant movement. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments, or even weather conditions could also impact trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about team lineups closer to the match, or even significant shifts in public opinion based on expert analysis, could all contribute to fluctuations in the odds for this market. Monitoring these signals will be crucial for anyone looking to trade effectively.
