Frequently asked questions

Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, often providing a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbook odds are typically set by a small team of experts, while this market is driven by the actions of many individuals. While both attempt to predict the same outcome, differences can arise due to varying information, biases, and risk assessments. It’s common to see prediction markets offering more competitive odds, especially when there’s strong disagreement or uncertainty surrounding an event.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the likelihood of both Sunderland and Leeds scoring. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand – if more people believe both teams will score, the price increases, and vice versa. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price reflects the aggregated sentiment of all traders participating in this market, offering a real-time assessment of the probability of the outcome.

This market resolves around Oct 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on whether both Sunderland and Leeds score at least one goal during the scheduled match. Traders who correctly predicted whether both teams would score will receive a payout based on the final market price at resolution.

Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Sunderland or Leeds would likely have a significant impact. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments, or even weather conditions could also shift trader sentiment. Unexpected lineup announcements close to the match could also cause movement. Furthermore, any public statements from managers or players regarding their attacking approach could influence how traders assess the likelihood of both teams finding the net.
