Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and need to account for profit margins, while this market is driven purely by traders' beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is undervaluing the chance of both teams scoring, the price on Limitless will move accordingly. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the teams' form and potential for goals.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing the outcome. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and express their views, the price fluctuates, providing a real-time assessment of the likelihood of both Sunderland and Brighton finding the net. The current price indicates the collective belief about the probability of both teams scoring in the match.

This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will depend on whether both Sunderland and Brighton score at least one goal during the match. Official match data will be used to determine if both teams have scored, and this information will be verified against credible public sources. The final result will then be reflected in the market's settlement.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before the match. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Sunderland or Brighton would likely have a significant impact. Changes in team form, tactical approaches, or even weather conditions could also shift traders' expectations. Unexpected lineup announcements or pre-match analysis highlighting a team's attacking prowess or defensive weaknesses could also cause the price to move, reflecting the evolving assessment of the likelihood of both teams scoring.
