In the upcoming match between Sunderland AFC and Chelsea FC, scheduled for November 8, 2026 at 9:00 AM ET: This market will resolve to "Sunderland AFC" if Sunderland AFC are the first to score in the first half (first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time). This market will resolve to "Chelsea FC" if Chelsea FC are the first to score in the first half (first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time). If neither team scores in the first half (first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time), this market will resolve to "Neither". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to goals scored within the first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time. Second-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor names, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences in a team's or player's name will not affect resolution, provided the intended team or player can be clearly and uniquely identified as a participant in the listed fixture or competition. If a listed name has no reasonable connection to any participant, or could reasonably refer to more than one participant such that the intended team or player cannot be determined, this market will resolve as it would if the listed fixture had been canceled entirely; a listed participant who cannot be identified does not count as inactive or absent. The primary resolution source for this market will be official match information from Premier League (https://www.premierleague.com/). If the governing body or event organizers have not published final statistics within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, often proving more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market allows traders to directly assess probabilities. However, discrepancies can occur due to differing levels of information and varying risk appetites between prediction market participants and sportsbook customers. It’s common to see this market adjust rapidly to new information or shifts in sentiment, potentially leading to differences in implied probabilities.
This market resolves around Nov 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the outcome will be determined by which team, Sunderland AFC or Chelsea FC, scores the first goal during the first half of the match. The official match records will serve as the source for verifying the result. Trading will cease once the outcome is known and officially reported, and shares will be settled accordingly.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any news regarding team lineups, particularly injuries to key players in either Sunderland AFC or Chelsea FC, would likely have a significant impact. Pre-match analysis from sports commentators and analysts, as well as any changes in betting patterns at traditional sportsbooks, could also sway market sentiment. Furthermore, even the weather forecast for the match day could influence trading, as conditions may favor one team’s playing style over the other.
