Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance their action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to be accurate. If there's a significant difference between the implied probability on Polymarket and sportsbook odds, it could indicate disagreement about the true likelihood of an outcome. Discrepancies can arise from differing information, biases, or simply how each venue processes available data. It’s valuable to compare both to form a well-rounded view.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief about the outcome of the Stopin vs. Khavanskyi match. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price adjusts to reflect the evolving consensus. This dynamic pricing ensures the market remains responsive to changes in perceived likelihood, offering a real-time assessment of the event’s potential results.

This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Stopin vs. Khavanskyi match as reported by recognized sporting authorities. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine which outcome is declared the winner. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be paid out according to the final market price at resolution, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will forfeit their investment.

Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market leading up to Oct 31, 2026. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in coaching strategies, or even weather conditions impacting the match could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about player form or potential tactical adjustments could also cause significant price movements. Public opinion, as reflected in polls or expert analysis, might also play a role, though the market ultimately relies on the collective judgment of traders on Polymarket.
