These markets track how many points each team scores in a specific college football game. Each market has a different threshold for the points a team must exceed for the market to settle positively.
All markets resolve based on the official final point totals of Louisville and Stanford in their college football game scheduled for October 31, 2026. For each market, if the specified team scores over the stated point threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of the original start time, the markets remain open and resolve according to the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi disclaims any affiliation with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish initial lines to balance their risk, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs about the outcome. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook’s line is inaccurate, the odds here will move accordingly. This can lead to prediction market prices being more accurate, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available. It’s common to see differences emerge as new information, such as injuries or weather forecasts, impacts perceptions of the likely outcome.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing different team total outcomes, and the price of each contract reflects the market’s probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective belief about the event. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are driven by supply and demand; if more people want to buy a particular outcome, its price will rise, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date information and sentiment.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final team totals for Stanford and Louisville are verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official statistics released following the completion of the game. The market will determine which side of the team total line is correct, based on the actual scores achieved by each team. Traders holding contracts on the correct outcome will receive a payout, while those on the incorrect side will not.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Stanford or Louisville would likely cause price fluctuations. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they are expected to impact the game's scoring environment, could also move the market. Additionally, late-breaking news about team strategies or coaching decisions could affect trader sentiment. Even significant public opinion shifts, as reflected in polls or expert analysis, may contribute to price adjustments in this market as traders react to new information.
