In the upcoming ATP singles match scheduled for 2026-10-21 12:00 UTC: if Stan Wawrinka wins the match, this market resolves to "Stan Wawrinka"; if Martin Landaluce wins, it resolves to "Martin Landaluce". The winner is the first player to claim the required number of sets under the match's official best-of format. If the match begins but is not completed, a retirement or default counts the opposing player as the winner. If a walkover is declared before the first point is played, the match is outright canceled, or it is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. Suspensions caused by weather, fading light, or other tournament-imposed delays do not close this market — it stays open until the match is officially completed, provided it concludes within the 7-day window mentioned above. Resolution Source: The official ATP Tour scoring page. Note: This market will resolve strictly based on the first officially published result from the designated source. Any subsequent revisions will not affect this resolution.

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, driven by the collective intelligence of traders on Opinion, aims to reflect the true probability of each outcome. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, prediction markets can quickly adjust based on new information and diverse opinions. It's common to see discrepancies, particularly as the event approaches and more information becomes available.
On Opinion, this market is priced through a continuous exchange where traders buy and sell shares representing different outcomes of the Wawrinka vs Landaluce match. The price of each share directly reflects the market's assessment of that outcome's probability. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust dynamically, creating a real-time forecast. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This means that the price movements are solely determined by supply and demand within Opinion, and aren’t influenced by external factors or other prediction venues.
This market resolves around Oct 21, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Wawrinka vs Landaluce match, as reported by a recognized tennis authority. The market will determine which player won the match, or if the match was cancelled or otherwise did not reach a definitive conclusion. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be paid out according to the final market price at resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in playing conditions, or even significant shifts in public opinion could cause the odds to move. Unexpected results in other matches involving either Wawrinka or Landaluce could also impact trader sentiment.
