In the upcoming Ligue 1 game between Stade Rennais FC 1901 and RC Strasbourg Alsace, scheduled for October 25, 2026 at 12:15 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Stade Rennais FC 1901 vs. RC Strasbourg Alsace match originally scheduled for October 25, 2026 at 12:15 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Comparing prediction market odds to those offered by sportsbooks reveals how collective intelligence differs from traditional oddsmaking. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market reflects the aggregated beliefs of a diverse group of traders. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the wisdom of the crowd identifying undervalued or overvalued outcomes. It’s common to see prediction markets incorporate new information more rapidly than sportsbooks, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities as the event approaches.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief in each possible exact score. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. As more traders buy contracts for a specific outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date collective prediction of the event's outcome, based on the information available to traders.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the Stade Rennais vs. Strasbourg match will be used to determine the winning contract. The platform will rely on official sources to verify the result and settle the market accordingly. Traders holding the winning contract will receive a payout based on the final market price at the time of resolution, while those holding losing contracts will forfeit their stake.
Several factors could influence the probabilities in this market before the match concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Stade Rennais or Strasbourg would likely cause significant shifts. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments announced by the managers, or even weather conditions on match day could also impact trader sentiment. Unexpected news related to team morale or internal conflicts could also play a role, as could late-breaking analysis from sports commentators or analysts offering updated predictions for the outcome of the game.
