In the upcoming match between Stade Rennais FC 1901 and Lille OSC, scheduled for November 8, 2026 at 9:00 AM ET: This market will resolve to "Stade Rennais FC 1901" if Stade Rennais FC 1901 are the first to score in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time). This market will resolve to "Lille OSC" if Lille OSC are the first to score in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time). If neither team scores in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time), this market will resolve to "Neither". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to goals scored within the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. First-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor names, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences in a team's or player's name will not affect resolution, provided the intended team or player can be clearly and uniquely identified as a participant in the listed fixture or competition. If a listed name has no reasonable connection to any participant, or could reasonably refer to more than one participant such that the intended team or player cannot be determined, this market will resolve as it would if the listed fixture had been canceled entirely; a listed participant who cannot be identified does not count as inactive or absent. The primary resolution source for this market will be official match information from Ligue 1 (https://www.ligue1.com/). If the governing body or event organizers have not published final statistics within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially differing from those set by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market incorporates real-time sentiment and information from a wide range of participants. It's common to see discrepancies, particularly when new information emerges or public opinion shifts dramatically. Analyzing these differences can provide valuable insights into where the crowd believes the true probability lies.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where users buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular team, the price increases, reflecting growing confidence. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds constantly adapt to new information and changing perspectives, offering a real-time assessment of the event’s potential outcomes.
This market resolves around Nov 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will determine which team – Stade Rennais or Lille – scores the first goal in the second half of the match. The result will be based on official match data and verified against credible public sources. Trading will cease upon resolution, and shares will be settled accordingly.
Several factors could influence trading in this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Stade Rennais or Lille would likely cause significant movement. Tactical changes announced by either manager before the match could also shift probabilities. Even in-game events during the first half, such as red cards or early goals, could impact expectations for the second half and therefore influence trading activity. Overall match form and recent head-to-head results are also likely to play a role.
