PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Predict utilize identical resolution criteria, focusing on the first goal scored within the standard match duration and providing clear fallback mechanisms for data sourcing and handling of postponements/cancellations.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers.

Core resolution logic:

  • The first team to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time determines the outcome.
  • If neither team scores within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, the market resolves to 'Neither'.
  • Postponed matches will have resolution delayed until completion.
  • Canceled matches (without a reschedule) resolve to 'Neither'.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours of the match's conclusion, Flashscore data will be used. If Flashscore data is unavailable, Sofascore data will be used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting will be used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market resolves 50-50.
  • Score Revisions: Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Timing: Resolution will occur within 24 hours of the match's conclusion, or as soon as official statistics are available, whichever is sooner. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Prediction market odds, like those found for this market on Polymarket and Predict, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the underlying mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to maximize profit, incorporating a margin for themselves, while prediction markets are driven by genuine user belief. This means prediction market prices can sometimes be more accurate reflections of true probabilities, as they aggregate diverse opinions. However, sportsbook odds benefit from expert analysis and sophisticated modeling. Discrepancies can also arise from differing levels of liquidity and information availability between the two types of markets. Comparing the two provides a broader perspective on potential outcomes.

Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Prices on Polymarket and Predict can diverge due to several factors. Each platform attracts a different user base with varying levels of expertise and access to information about the Stade Brestois 29 vs. Angers SCO match. Trading volume also plays a role; lower volume on one platform can lead to greater price volatility and discrepancies. Furthermore, the specific mechanisms for price discovery – how traders bid and ask – differ slightly between Polymarket and Predict, contributing to these variations. These differences highlight the value of observing multiple prediction markets to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the anticipated outcome.
