Predict
This prediction market asks for the exact final score of a Major League Soccer (MLS) match between St. Louis City SC and Los Angeles Galaxy. Resolution depends on the score at the end of regulation time plus stoppage time, excluding extra time or penalty shootouts.
In the upcoming MLS game between St. Louis City SC and Los Angeles Galaxy, scheduled for October 11, 2026 at 7:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the St. Louis City SC vs. Los Angeles Galaxy match originally scheduled for October 11, 2026 at 7:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Prediction market odds, like those found in this market, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the wisdom of the crowd and differing incentives. Sportsbooks set odds to maximize profit, incorporating a margin for themselves, while prediction markets allow participants to directly express their beliefs. This can lead to more accurate probabilities, as the collective intelligence of traders often outperforms individual oddsmakers. However, sportsbook odds benefit from large limits and established brand recognition. Discrepancies can also arise from differing levels of information available to each group and varying risk appetites, making both valuable sources of information for informed decision-making.
Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Prices on Polymarket and Predict may diverge due to several factors. Each platform attracts a different user base with varying expertise and information. Trading volume also plays a role; Polymarket’s higher volume might lead to quicker price discovery, while Predict’s lower volume could result in greater price volatility. Furthermore, the platforms have different fee structures and liquidity provisions, influencing trader behavior. These factors contribute to distinct market dynamics, even when tracking the same underlying event—the St. Louis City SC vs. LA Galaxy score market—resulting in potentially different probabilities assigned to each outcome.
