In the upcoming match between SSC Napoli and SS Lazio, scheduled for November 8, 2026 at 6:30 AM ET: This market will resolve to "SSC Napoli" if SSC Napoli are the first to score in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time). This market will resolve to "SS Lazio" if SS Lazio are the first to score in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time). If neither team scores in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time), this market will resolve to "Neither". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to goals scored within the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. First-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor names, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences in a team's or player's name will not affect resolution, provided the intended team or player can be clearly and uniquely identified as a participant in the listed fixture or competition. If a listed name has no reasonable connection to any participant, or could reasonably refer to more than one participant such that the intended team or player cannot be determined, this market will resolve as it would if the listed fixture had been canceled entirely; a listed participant who cannot be identified does not count as inactive or absent. The primary resolution source for this market will be official match information from Serie A (https://www.legaseriea.it/). If the governing body or event organizers have not published final statistics within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, but may also incorporate a margin for profit. This market, however, allows traders to express their own beliefs, potentially leading to odds that more accurately reflect the true probability of either team scoring first in the second half. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the dynamic nature of trading activity. It’s common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information than sportsbooks.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in SS Lazio to score first, the price of those shares increases, and the implied probability rises. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current top outcome, SS Lazio, has a chance percentage of 47.0%. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants.
This market resolves around Nov 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will determine which team—SSC Napoli or SS Lazio—scores the first goal in the second half of the match. The result will be based on official match data and verified against credible public sources. The platform will then finalize the outcome and distribute payouts to traders holding shares in the winning outcome, based on the final share price at resolution.
Several signals could significantly influence this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either SSC Napoli or SS Lazio would likely cause shifts in the odds. Tactical changes announced by either manager, particularly those impacting attacking lineups, could also move the market. Furthermore, live game events during the first half, such as red cards or early goals, could dramatically alter trader sentiment and lead to price fluctuations. Even broader factors, like weather conditions or referee assignments, could subtly impact trading activity in this market.
