PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Predict define the same resolution criteria based on the first goal scored within the 90-minute match period, with the same fallback resolution procedures and cancellation policy.Primary resolution logic: Official match statistics as recognized by the governing body or event organizers, with a defined hierarchy of fallback sources (Flashscore, Sofascore, credible reporting).

Core resolution logic:

  • The first team to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time determines the winner.
  • If neither team scores within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, the market resolves to 'Neither'.
  • Postponement extends the market until the match is completed.
  • Cancellation of the match with no reschedule results in a resolution to 'Neither'.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours of the match's conclusion, Flashscore data will be used. If Flashscore data is unavailable, Sofascore data will be used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting will be used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market will resolve 50-50 or to 'Draw' where applicable.
  • Score Revisions: Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Timing: Resolution will occur as soon as the official match statistics are available, or within 24 hours of the match's conclusion if fallback sources are required. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds, like those found in this market, often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to balance risk and profit, while prediction markets are driven by participant forecasts. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly diverges from the sportsbook's initial assessment. It’s common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information or changing circumstances than sportsbooks, as traders continuously update their positions. Examining both sources can provide a more well-rounded understanding of potential outcomes.

Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Price discrepancies between Polymarket and Predict on the Napoli vs. Frosinone first-to-score market can arise from several factors. Each platform attracts a different user base with varying levels of expertise and information. Trading volume also plays a role; a market with low volume on one platform may be more susceptible to price swings based on a few large trades. Furthermore, the specific mechanisms for setting and adjusting odds differ between Polymarket and Predict, influencing how quickly and efficiently prices reflect new information. These differences in user composition, volume, and market mechanics contribute to the observed price variations.
