Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance betting action and incorporate a profit margin, whereas this market relies on traders directly expressing their beliefs about the likelihood of each outcome. If there’s a significant discrepancy, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by betting on both platforms. However, it’s important to note that sportsbooks and prediction markets each have their own strengths and weaknesses in forecasting event outcomes.
