In the upcoming FIFA International Friendlies game between Sri Lanka and Mauritius, scheduled for October 5, 2026 at 11:00 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Sri Lanka vs. Mauritius match originally scheduled for October 5, 2026 at 11:00 AM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, representing their profit margin. This market, driven by the collective intelligence of traders on Predict, aims to reflect the true probabilities of each outcome. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, prediction markets can quickly adjust as new information emerges and more people participate. It's common to see discrepancies between the two, especially as the event draws closer and more volume is traded.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the market's collective belief about the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate and place bets, the prices adjust dynamically, converging towards what the market deems to be the fair probability. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The platform uses a market-making algorithm to ensure there's always a bid and ask price available, facilitating smooth trading and price discovery.
This market resolves around Oct 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, exact score of the Sri Lanka vs. Mauritius match will be used to determine the winning outcome. The resolution process relies on publicly available and independently verified results. Traders will be able to see the resolution details on Predict once the event has concluded and the results have been officially announced. The platform ensures a transparent and reliable resolution process for all markets.
Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Any news regarding team lineups, player injuries, or changes in coaching staff for either Sri Lanka or Mauritius could significantly shift the probabilities. Weather conditions at the match location are also a potential catalyst, as they could impact the style of play and overall outcome. Unexpected announcements related to the tournament itself, or even broader sporting events, could also draw attention and affect trading volume. Increased media coverage or public discussion about the match could also lead to more participation and price movement.
