If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50.

Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds offer a distinct perspective compared to traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, representing their profit margin. This market, driven by the collective intelligence of traders on Limitless, aims to reflect the true probability of an outcome. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, this market dynamically adjusts as more information becomes available and more people trade, potentially offering a more accurate forecast. It’s common to see differences emerge as new developments unfold.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective belief of traders regarding the likelihood of that outcome. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe an outcome is likely, the higher the price of its corresponding contract will rise. This creates a dynamic pricing mechanism that continuously updates as new information and opinions emerge, offering a real-time assessment of probabilities.

This market resolves around Oct 23, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result will be based on the official result of the Sri Lanka vs England match as declared by the governing sporting body. Traders will have until the resolution time to adjust their positions based on any late-breaking news or developments. The platform will then finalize the outcome and settle all outstanding contracts accordingly, reflecting the actual result of the contest.

Several factors could influence this market before it resolves. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team lineups, weather conditions, or even pre-match analysis from respected sports commentators could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements related to the match, such as venue changes or rule adjustments, would also likely cause significant price movement. Furthermore, large trading volume from informed participants could signal a shift in expectations and drive price changes in this market.
