This market refers to the cricket match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka scheduled for October 9 2026 at 11:00 AM ET in Sri Lanka Tour of Pakistan T20s. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can often differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market’s probabilities are driven by actual money being wagered. If a significant amount of volume flows towards a particular outcome, the odds will adjust accordingly, potentially signaling a divergence from sportsbook expectations. This can be particularly useful for identifying potential value bets or uncovering insights that traditional oddsmakers may have overlooked. It's common to see prediction markets more accurately forecast event outcomes.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different outcomes in the Pakistan vs Sri Lanka T20s, and the price of each share reflects the market's current probability assessment of that outcome. As more shares are traded, the price fluctuates, providing a dynamic and real-time indication of collective belief. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price is determined solely by supply and demand within Polymarket, meaning that the more traders believe a particular outcome will occur, the higher the price of its corresponding shares will rise.
