Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, incorporating a margin for themselves. This market, however, is driven purely by traders expressing their beliefs about the outcome of the Sporting Jax vs. Birmingham match. On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores for the Sporting Jax vs. Birmingham match. The price of each share reflects the market’s collective probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. Higher demand for a particular score will drive its price up, indicating a greater perceived likelihood, while lower demand will cause the price to fall. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date predictions.
