However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If there's a significant discrepancy, it could indicate that the market perceives information differently than sportsbooks, or that one venue has a more informed or active trading base. It's important to compare and contrast to form your own informed opinion on the likely outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores. The price of each share reflects the market's collective probability of that score occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect new information and sentiment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's depth – the number of shares available at different price points – also indicates how confident traders are in their predictions. This dynamic pricing allows for a real-time assessment of the likelihood of each possible outcome.
This market resolves around Oct 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the Sporting FC vs. AD San Carlos match, as officially recorded by the governing sporting body, will determine the winning share(s). Resolution relies on a publicly available and verifiable result, ensuring a transparent and objective outcome. Traders will be able to claim their winnings based on the final, confirmed score.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in player lineups, or shifts in coaching strategies could all impact trader sentiment. Unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even pre-game analysis from sports commentators, might also cause price fluctuations. Major events affecting team morale or public perception could also play a role, as traders react to new information and adjust their predictions accordingly.
