In the upcoming UEFA Women's Champions League match between Sport Lisboa e Benfica and FK Austria Wien, originally scheduled for Wednesday, November 11, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET (as of creation of the first market related to the event): This market will resolve to "Sport Lisboa e Benfica" if Sport Lisboa e Benfica are the first to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. This market will resolve to "FK Austria Wien" if FK Austria Wien are the first to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. If neither team scores within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, this market will resolve "Neither". If this market's outcome was definitively determined under its rules by the listed resolution sources before abandonment, that outcome will stand. Otherwise, the following no-result provisions apply. If the game is canceled, does not start by Friday, November 13, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or is abandoned with no official result by that time, this market will resolve to "Neither". The following abandonment rules apply only when this market's outcome was not already definitively determined under its rules before abandonment. If the game is abandoned, this market will resolve according to the official ruling of the governing body or event organizers on the abandoned game. If the result as played at the time of abandonment is declared to stand by Friday, November 13, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve based on the game as played. If the game is replayed or resumed from the point of abandonment and has an official result by Friday, November 13, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve based on the completed result. In any other case, including a result awarded that differs from the score as played, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to the outcome within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve to "Neither".

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically set initial odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, but may also incorporate a margin for profit. This market allows individuals to express their own predictions, which can lead to odds that diverge from, or align with, traditional sportsbook offerings. It’s common to see prediction markets react quickly to new information or changing sentiment, potentially offering a different perspective than fixed sportsbook lines.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where users buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular team scoring first, the price of those shares increases, and the implied probability rises. Conversely, selling shares decreases the price and probability. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date collective forecast.
This market resolves around Nov 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will depend on determining which team—Sport Lisboa e Benfica or FK Austria Wien—scores the first goal in the match. The result will be based on official match data and verified against credible public sources. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be entitled to a payout, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will forfeit their stake.
Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in player lineups, or tactical adjustments announced before the match could significantly shift trader sentiment. Unexpected weather conditions or even pre-match analysis from respected football commentators could also play a role. Furthermore, any significant shifts in public opinion, as reflected by betting patterns or social media discussions, could impact the price of shares in this market, leading to increased volume and price volatility.
