Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance betting action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market is driven purely by traders expressing their beliefs about the outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply variations in opinion. If a significant difference exists, it might present an arbitrage opportunity for informed traders. It’s common to see prediction markets more accurately forecast events, especially when a large volume of trading occurs.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. As more shares are traded, the price of those shares adjusts, reflecting the collective assessment of the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a 'yes' share (Spivacov Oleg wins) indicates the probability of that outcome, while the price of a 'no' share (Plescaci Vitalie wins) represents the probability of the alternative. The market efficiently incorporates new information as it becomes available, leading to dynamic price adjustments.
